Family Access and Founding Family Program Terms

These terms cover two optional programs. Family Access is for families who want to use TheHomeschoolingCompany when price is the thing in the way. Founding Families receive complimentary or discounted access so they can actively use the product and tell us what works and what does not.
- A Family Access award is a discount or waiver of service fees. It can range from a partial discount to 100% complimentary access. It is not a cash grant, an accredited-school scholarship, or a promise of educational funding.
- Awards depend on approval and program availability, and we may weigh affordability, intended use, capacity, and product fit. An award applies only to the approved household and cannot be transferred.
- An award normally lasts a defined period, typically 90 days. You can ask to renew before it expires, but renewal is not guaranteed.
- Founding Families may be asked to use the product regularly, answer occasional surveys, report bugs or confusing experiences, join optional conversations with the team, and explain what is and is not working for their family.
- Neither program requires a positive review, a testimonial, a public post, or an endorsement.
- If you choose to post publicly about TheHomeschoolingCompany, you are responsible for following the disclosure rules that apply to free or discounted access.
- Complimentary Founding Family access can end if an account is inactive, the program ends, or continued participation is no longer useful or practical. Both programs depend on capacity and can be changed, paused, or discontinued.
To apply, open the program's tab on the programs page and use its apply button. For Family Access, tell us what your family wants to use, what you can reasonably afford, and a little about your student. There is no giant financial-aid packet and no essay about why you deserve it.

The Family Access Program and Founding Family Program are optional programs offered by TheHomeschoolingCompany to make the service more accessible and to help improve the product.
Participation remains subject to TheHomeschoolingCompany's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Family Access Program
TheHomeschoolingCompany may provide eligible families with free or discounted access to its services.
Awards may range from partial discounts to 100% complimentary access.
Awards are:
- Subject to approval and program availability.
- Nontransferable.
- Limited to the approved household.
- Normally provided for a defined period, typically 90 days.
- Not guaranteed to renew.
Families may request renewal before an award expires.
TheHomeschoolingCompany may consider affordability, intended use, current program capacity, product fit, and other reasonable factors when making awards.

Receiving Family Access does not require a family to post publicly, provide a positive review, endorse TheHomeschoolingCompany, or recommend the service.
Founding Family Program
Founding Families may receive complimentary or discounted service access so they can actively use TheHomeschoolingCompany and provide product feedback.
Participants may be asked to:
- Use the product regularly.
- Answer occasional surveys or feedback questions.
- Report bugs or confusing experiences.
- Participate in optional conversations with the team.
- Explain what is and is not working for their family.
Participants are not required to provide positive feedback.
Participants are not required to publish reviews, testimonials, social posts, or other public endorsements.
TheHomeschoolingCompany may discontinue complimentary Founding Family access if an account is inactive, the program ends, or continued participation is otherwise no longer useful or practical.
Public Comments and Endorsements
If a participant voluntarily posts publicly about TheHomeschoolingCompany, they are responsible for complying with applicable disclosure requirements concerning free or discounted access.
Changes and Availability
Both programs depend on available capacity and may be modified, paused, or discontinued.
Any change to future availability does not create an obligation for TheHomeschoolingCompany to continue providing free or discounted service beyond an already approved award period.
